What is ForexTickChart.com?
ForexTickChart.com a free, web based charting application that is designed to enable technical traders the opportunity to build robust and highly effective charts along with advanced saving and collaboration features that will redefine technical analysis in the retail FX space. What does it mean to be in Beta?
We wanted to bring ForexTickChart.com to the public as soon as possible, however, that does not mean all our bugs are ironed out.  While we continue to work tirelessly to refine the product, we encourage all users to use our charts and advanced functionality and provide endless streams of feedback so we can truly bring you the best online charting platform on the market.

Why does the chart take so long to load?
Our charts are not derived from a static database or a hybrid resource that only provides you with an idea of the market.  Our database is a historic, tick by tick account of the market that updates in real time across 28 currency pairs.  Due to this unique nature of our database, our charts may take a little while to load.  Rest assured your wait will be rewarded with the highest level of data accuracy and functionality.

Help.  The my chart did not save. Why?
At present, ForexTickChart only works with Internet Explorer.  You can view charts with any browser, but the save function only works with IE.  We are currently working on the problem and should have universal browser compatability soon.

What do you mean dealable rates? How is that different?
Most online charting platforms provide forex rates that have either been "cleaned" or are syndicated for general use. Our rates come directly from the brokers, so they represent the same prices that would be on the trading platform. Therefore, you can be certain that your analysis represents the real reatil FX market, and the prices you see were available for trading. Currently, our rates are provided by Forex.com.

There are gaps in the historic data.  Why?
As we are showing historic rates, not from an aggregator, but direct from a leading retail FX broker, sometimes there are delays or inaccuracies that are received via our real time feed.  We reconcile all our data weekly to "fill in" any gaps of data as we are able.  That said, we find these occurances to be very rare and only mention it here in the interest of transparency with our clients.

How do I load an indicator on my charts?
In the load new chart interface, you can choose an indicator from the indicator dropdown. Once selected, you may modify it (ie: time frames for SMAs etc) then click apply. Selected indicators appear in the window on the right. You may choose as many indicators as you wish.

My chart says no data available. What does this mean?
If the chart says no data available, that means that we do not have data for the time period selected. Our rates come from Forex.com and are historic as far back as 2000.

Can I change the color on my charts?
Yes, click the color tab on the charts.

How do I draw lines, add text, and pushpins etc?
Right click on the chart and you will see a menu of drawing tools.

Where can I go to learn more about using your charts?
Please view our easy to use video tutorials.

How do I know which Indicator option to select?
Technical Analysis can be complicated and we recommend learning more if this is your first time. That said, please view our recently added charts and/or view unbiased information on the internet, in sites such as www.babypips.com. We may also consider training programs offered by educators and/or your broker.

The charts aren't working for me, where can I get help?
Please contact us with details of your problem.

I am interested in advertising, who do I contact?
Please contact us here.

When I pull up a chart, all I see is a flat line for a large portion of the time. Is this correct?
The FX Markets are closed from Friday at 5PM EST and reopen Sunday at 5PM EST. The flat lines represent times when the market is closed. You can easily scroll past these times using your mouse scroll wheel or the < > button the charts. We are working on a solution that will eliminate this need and should be rolling that out shortly.

What are the system requirements for using your site?
This site can be viewed using the latest version of any modern browser.  However, some functionality including saving is only available on Internet Explorer.  We are working to resolve compatability issues with other browsers.
